Q

How are tropical storms formed?

A

They are formed over warm tropical seas (at least 26 degrees celsius). The warm ocean heats the air rapidly. Rising air creates a cumulonimbus cloud. If these grow enough, a tropical storm is formed.

Earth’s rotation causes the storms to spin.

They die down when they hit land because there is no warm water to fuel them so the wind slows down
