A

Young people are dealt differently than adult, with more empathy, so they can talk through the reasons for their offending rather than a courtroom

A

Children under 16 are often referred to the hearing and get help from social workers, teachers and police youth action teams perhaps if they’ve been using drugs

A

If a child keeps offending because maybe a unstable, abusive home or a child raises concern at school because they’re always hungry or dirty they can be removed safely to stop further issue

Child are removed to care for a period to save them from being abused. They may be as a result of neglect of basic needs like not attending school
