Cold Weather Operational Limits Flashcards

1
Q

What should be done if OAT is < -20?

A

Batteries heated and APU oil heated with EXT AC Power.

Consider preheating engines, cabin and flight deck.

APU display could be unreadable if cockpit not preheated.

Q

What should be done during Take Off (TO) with OAT < 0*C and in icing conditions?

Q

What do you do for Engine Ice Accretion in Flight?

A

One power lever at a time may be quickly retarded to idle, held there for 5 seconds and then pushed momentarily to 90% LP RPM.

This will reduce the vibration indication and the power lever may be returned to its original position.
