Course Deviation Pointer/Bar: How many degrees per dot. ILS: VOR: FM Home:

ILS: 1.25* Per dot VOR: 5* Per dot FM Home: 5* Per dot

2

Glide Slope Deviation Pointer ILS Glide Slope:

.25* per dot

3

Altitude Hold Mode (Explain)

-Maintains Alt. +-50' -Must be selected within with less than 200fpm rate ascent/descent -Operates between -1000' to 10,000' -Operates between 70-150KIAS

4

VOR Nav Mode within 10-

10-20* of course, HDG drops off, then provides 45* int.

5

What is CIS and what does it do?

processes navigational data, attitude, airspeed and altitude information to provide VISUAL COMMAND INDICATIONS for cyclic and collective control, as needed, to maintain heading, altitude, and TO NAVIGATE DURING EN-ROUTE AND APPROACH OPERATIONS.

6

RULE of 5 HSI/VSI 1- 2- 3- 4- 5-

1- #1 bearing pointer is slaved to the Doppler/GPS 2- #2 can have VOR or ADF inputs 3- Course Deviation Bar: Dop/GPS, VOR, LOC. 4- Course Dev. pointer: Dop/GPS, VOR, LOC, FM Home 5- Roll Command Bar: Dop/GPS, VOR, LOC, FM Home, Heading

7

-Heading mode Provides _ of roll command for each degree of error up to _. -Results in not more than _overshoot in acquiring the selected heading with tracking error of _? -Engaged by pressing the HDG sw. on the CIS mode selector, or VOR NAV is engaged when helicopter is in excess of _ from the selected radial.

-Heading mode Provides 1 degree of roll command for each degree of error up to 20 deg.. -Results in not more than _overshoot in acquiring the selected heading with tracking error of 2 deg? -Engaged by pressing the HDG sw. on the CIS mode selector, or VOR NAV is engaged when helicopter is in excess of 10 Deg from the selected radial.

8

ALT Hold Mode

-maintain alt w/in _?

-Vertical rates up to _, and provides altitude inputs between __ and __ at airspeeds from _ to _.

-maintain alt w/in +-50'?

-Vertical rates up to 200FPM, and provides altitude inputs between -1000' and +1000 at airspeeds 70 to 150KIAS.

VOR NAV MODE

When selected outside _ from the selected radial, the inistial course intersection will be made in the heading mode. When the helicopter is within __ to __, the CISP beam processor will capture the VOR beam. THe CISP logic disengages __ and a __ course intercept begins.

-The intercept course will result in no more than _ oversheet at _nm at __ kias and no more than _ overshoots at ___NM at speeds of ___.When passing over the VOR, the station passage sub mode is engaged for __, when outbound course changes to a new radial ma be made.

VOR NAV MODE

-When selected outside `0deg from the selected radial, the inistial course intersection will be made in the heading mode. When the helicopter is within 10 to 20deg, the CISP beam processor will capture the VOR beam. THe CISP logic disengages HDG and a 45deg course intercept begins.

-The intercept course will result in no more than oversheet at 10nm nm at 100+-10kias and no more than 2 overshoots at 5-40NM at speeds of 70-140kias. When passing over the VOR, the station passage sub mode is engaged for 30sec, when outbound course changes to a new radial can be made.

ILS NAV Mode

-Cyclic pitch command to maintain an airspeed tha should not deviate more the _knots from the IAS when the ILS NAV mode is engaged.

-Collective stick position signals to maintain the altitude existing when the ILS NAV mode is engaged.

-A _degree intercept will be made as in the VOR NAV mode, except that not mor than _ oveshoots at ranges of __ should occur for airspeeds _to_KIAS.

-Cyclic pitch command to maintain an airspeed tha should not deviate more the 5 knots from the IAS when the ILS NAV mode is engaged.

-Collective stick position signals to maintain the altitude existing when the ILS NAV mode is engaged.

-A 45 degree intercept will be made as in the VOR NAV mode, except that not more than 2 oveshoots at ranges of 5-20NM should occur for airspeeds 70 to 130 KIAS.
