A

D “LO-DANCE” fire Conditions

27
Q

Choose incorrect
A. BC instructs a FF who activated his EAB to switch to Ch 16 and re-depress EAB in order for Beacon Tone to continue to operate on new channel
B. Distressed FF neglects to press EAB and proceeds to immediately start his emergency message w/”Mayday 3X’s”
C. An LT, upon completion of Mayday emergency message between a distressed FF and IC, and hearing no further orders, knows that he must wait until IC gives “All Clear” order before resuming any transmissions w/FF under his functional supervision
D. BC announces interior attack to be discontinued and states, “Urgent 3X’s” Cmd to all units, Urgent, Back out, back out”

A

A When a member switches to Ch 16, their “Beacon” continues unless the “Emergency Alert Tone” is deactivated. The IC may instruct the member to
deactivate the tones if they are hampering comm
C Normal HT use may be resumed upon completion of the emergency message or signal unless the IC orders otherwise

A. Transmits “Mayday 3X’s Cmd to all unit- Mayday all HT transmissions are to cease”
B. After transmitting message to units no further action is req’d by IC unless units continue to transmit
C. Once control has been gained, IC can transmit “Resume normal HT transmissions”

A

C
A Should be “Urgent 3X’s”
B after transmission to units, EAB must be deactivated either by depressing and holding EAB for approx 2 sec
until a reset tone is heard or turn the HT off and then back on. Failure to deactivate will cause transmissions by the IC to be preceded by the letters EM which may
cause confusion.

D. FF creating feedback continuously presses PTT button in order to provide continuous feedback signal with no lapse

A

C

A FF creating feedback keeps HT on same ch as missing FF
B Designated member should be located remote from search activity to avoid confusion among searchers.

D. After notifying IC he was activating his cell phone, Rescue Off contacted Rescue Battalion prior to hearing back from IC

A

A
B Excess traffic on HT is not a sufficient reason to activate cell phone use. In this case, the IC shall activate a Cmd Ch or add’l tactical ch
C All available FD means of comm should be considered prior to utilizing the direct voice radio communications mode e.g., post radio, HT relay, 800 Mhz radio, sound powered phones. Only at this time may the direct voice radio comm mode of same type cell phones be used for comm (Ex. Nextel to Nextel)
