A non-communicable disease (NCD) is a disease that is not transmissible directly from one person to another.

What are the risk factors of non-communicable diseases?

A

Metabolic and behavioral risk factors are the most common causes of noncommunicable diseases. The most important risk factors include smoking, blood pressure, unhealthy food diet, inactivity, overweight and obesity, hypercholesterolemia (build up of high cholesterol simply), diabetes and blood sugar and alcohol.
