What are the 3 defining characteristics of primates?

- express themselves socially through a range of behaviors
- complexly organized social structures
- form long term social relationships


why are primates social?

- protection from danger
- easier access to mates


how do reproductive strategies differ in female and male primates? (3)

- males have larger canines and bodies, to fight for females,
- males will commit infanticide
- females ofte compete for food in a hierarchy
