EFB does not have any damage, screen/glass cracks (rapid decompression),
defects, and/or known conditions that precludes it from operating in the manner set forth by Skywest IT

When should the EFB battery be replaced?

When discharge from 100% to 50% occurs in less than 120 minutes

What is the minimum battery charge to begin a flight duty period?

80%

Are there any special charging procedures for the EFB battery?

No. It is recommended to let the battery drop below 10% once a month for charging.

Where should the backup battery be during flight?

Stowed and charged to 100%

How often should company manuals be synced?

Within the proceeding 4 calendar days

How should you preflight the EFB?

Check securing device
Install securing device
Inspect EFB
Install EFB
Power on EFB
Ensure there is sufficient battery for the flight

Can you use the AC receptacles?

No.

Use of cabin AC is prohibited when passengers are in the cabin.

When should the EFB be in flight mode?

During all phases of flight

Should you use aircraft ownership on the EFB

No GPS position or ownership is prohibited

When on the ground with parking brake set to contact company.

Must have 100 hrs within 120 days

Can be extended to 150 days with refresher training

What are the limitations if the SIC has less than 100 hrs?

If the PIC is not a check airman the PIC must do all takeoff and landings when:

Prevailing visibility less than 3/4 sm
RVR less than 4000
Breaking action less than good
Crosswind component more than 15kts
Windshear reported near the airport
Any other conditions

What limitations are there when the PIC and SIC have less than 75 hrs in type?

No flight ops allowed unless either has 75 hrs

What restrictions apply if the weather at the airport is less than 1000’ above the lowest MEA, MOCA or initial approach altitude or if vis is less than 3 mi at a special airport (C050)?

PIC or SIC must have made T/O and LND in the last 12 cal months
