A

Operant and respondent

2
Q

What is the deifference between forgetting and extinction?

Extinction is deliberately and forgetting is not on purpose. Forgetting is due to time elapsing and extinction is due to ignoring

3
Q

Explain the difference between forgetting and extinction.

A

For a conditioned reinforcer to remain effective, it has to be reinforced continuously and not be discontinued (page 56). Extinction is when you completely cease to reinforce the condition, frequency of the behaviour will decrease

4
Q

If a behaviour that was maintained by positive reinforcement is not reinfored at least once in a while, what will happen to the behaviour?

A

The undesirable behaviour is likely to reoccur

5
Q

Why is it necessary to consider the setting as a factor influencing your extinction program?

A

To minimize the chance of other people reinforcing the behaviour you’re trying to decrease

6
Q

What is an extinction burst?

A

an increase in responding during extinction

7
Q

What is Spontaneous recovery?
