  • noticeably cooler than surrounding areas
  • Xinomavro- comparable w/ nebbiolo

  • compared to Nebbiolo
  • H acid, and tannin
  • med color, quickly fades to tawny, laks fresh fruit
  • long lived, develops complex spice, earthy aroma w/ age
  • some are aged in new oak

  • best fruit from vineyards in the middle range
