What kind of symptoms do you get from a food allergy?

A

Flushing of skin, swelling of the throat and mouth, conjunctivitis, construction of the airways, sudden weakness because blood pressure drops, heaves, difficulty to speak or swallow, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and you can collapse and become unconscious

Foods that can cause reactions are?

Peanuts
Nuts
Soya
Cereals with gluten 
Sesame seeds
Celery
Mustard 
Lupin
- major allergens found in peanuts are also found in lupin, so people allergic to peanuts could react to lupin 
Sulphur dioxide and sulphites
- asthmatic response to preservatives in soft drinks, wine and beer

What to do if things go wrong? If a customer has a severe allergic reaction?

A

Don’t move them
Ring an ambulance
Say they might have an anaphylaxis
Send sb outside and stay with the customer
