Deported without trial (breach of human rights).

Justification:
Detainees could be terrorists, many picked up after 911.
Attacks are more simple (vans killing pedestrians)

A

UN imposed sanctions after it carried out its 6th and largest nuclear test.

Sanctions:
Cap North Korea’s oil imports
Ban textile exports
End overseas labour contracts
Suppress smuggling efforts
Stop joint ventures with other nations

The world will not accept nuclear armed north korea.
North korea wants nukes to protect kim jong un. The only way they can stop US military intervention is by attacking the US.

Huge damage to the environment and to people’s rights.
unemployment at 90%, guerrilla groups form.
compensate for loss of land, not sharing the wealth
oil bunkering (stealing)

Aid:
streets and waterways are patrolled
UK offer training help only (weren’t going o give helicopters and boats)

poses a threat to the UK
UK is a member of the global coalition that aims to defeat ISIS.
Global coalition provides military support, prevents funding for ISIS, prevents flow of terrorrists and expresses the delusional beliefs of ISIS.

UK military sent 1,400 troops
conducted 1,600 airstrikes.
ISIS lost 98% territory.

Against: innocent civilians are killed by airstrikes.
US say they only kill a few, actually they kill 31 times more than they say.
One civilian killed for every 5 airstrikes.

A

deal worth $9bn
$6bn much needed infrastructure
China gets to exploit DRC’s minerals (copper and cobalt).
china makes $9bn back in 10 years.
Congo gets free infrastructure and improves link with china - connects it to world trade.

deal unfairly favours china and may not be in DRC residents interests.
But DRC want to keep the deal with china/
