A

“Top to Bottom”

Place red warning flag across the viewing window

Remove girt bar from stowage bracket and insert into floor fitting

A

Assess

Rotate door control handel towards the nose of the A/C

Push door out until it latches onto the fuselage

A

Squeeze door latach release handle and pull door closed using door assist handle

Rotate door control handle AFT to the locked position

Assess

Rotate door control handle toward the nose of the A/C

Push door out until it latches onto the fuselage

A

Disengage the secondary lock

Lower the center headrest pad, exposing the emergency door control handle and red plastic guard cover

A

Raise center headrest pad

Engage secondary lock, exposing the normal door control handle

Physically check lavatory is unoccupied

Put up red barrier strap across the aisle

Check galley area is secure

Check AFT exit door is armed

Strap yourself into AFT J/S

B717 Tailcone Emergency Opening

A

Assess over the red barrier strap, then though peep hole

Remove red plastic guard cover

Rotate emergency door control handle A/C L

Pull door inward until engaged on lavatory latch

Assess down catwalk to ensure tailcone has jettisoned & slide has inflated (inflation indicators, green and white stripes)

Proceed down catwalk and assume protect position

B717 Tailcone BackUp Procedures for when Tailcone fails to jettison slide doesn’t deploy

A

If tailcone fails to jettison: Pull tailcone jettison handle located on A/C L

If that fails; assume protect position and stop twice with one foot on the tailcone separation

If tailbone drops, but slide doesn’t deploy: Lift red handle up and away

Pull red manual inflation handle

If all backups fail, block the exit and redirect PAX to a useable exit

A

Release door from the lavatory latch

Rotate emergency door control handle A/C R to lower arming rod

Replace red plastic guard cover

Disarm the AFT Exit Door

Close door by rotating normal door control handle A/C R

Replace red barrier strap & block exit

Proceed to OVWG exit

Open window using asile hand to pull on the Window Release Handle inboard

Turn

Throw window out

B717 Cockpit Clear-view Window and Escape Ropes

A

Pull black ball AFT - Inboard - AFT

Escape Ropes Open Compartment: Throw the the escape rope out of window - look for color change to know when fully extended

Wrap the rope around your hand

Lower yourself to the ground
