They had very little freedom. The girls did not go to school they were taught by their mothers how to cook, clean, sew, run a household, and many other household chores. In the women’s own home she was the boss. They were not allowed to leave the house without their husbands permission, and couldn’t even visit a temple without permission also.

A

They had a great deal of freedom. Thy could leave the house whenever they want, run a business. They went to military school outside their house and became skilled warriors. If the men left for war it was the women’s job to defend the city from attacks
