A330 Doors (Arming, Disarming, Emergency Mode) Flashcards
A330 Arming
“Pin-Action-Pin”
Disengage safety pin
Move arming lever to the armed position
Place safety pin completely into stowage pouch
Confirm door is armed using “2 Point Check”
Safety pin disengaged
Arming lever in the armed position
A330 “2 Point Check” Arming
Arming lever is in the armed position
Safety pin is disengaged
A330 Disarming
“Pin-Action-Pin”
Remove safety pin from stowage pouch
Move arming lever to the disarmed position
Engage safety pin
Confirm door is disarmed using “2 Point Check”
Arming lever in disarmed position
Safety pin engaged
A330 “2 Point Check” Disarming
Arming lever is in the disarmed position
Safety pin is engaged
A330 Opening Door Normal Mode
Assess
Verify door is disarmed by using 2 point check
Confirm cabin pressure indicator light is not flashing red
On 3 L/R doors; open door control handle cover
Hold onto vertical frame assist handle located AFT of door
Rotate door control handle up
Push door out using the door assist handle unit it latches onto the fuselage
A330 Closing Door Normal Mode
Hold on to the vertical frame assist handle
Press door latch release button
Pull door inward using the door assist handle
Rotate door control handle down to lock and secure the door
On 3 L/R doors; close the door control handle cover
Check door locking indicator is green & locked to verify that door is locked
A330 Emergency Opening
Asses thought the viewing window
Holding on to the frame assist handle
Jam up & let go of the door control handle
Pull red manual inflation handle
If Power assists fails: Manually open door until it latches to fuselage
A330 Cockpit Clear-view Windows & Escape Ropes
Windows:
Push down on the operating lever to disengage lock
Rotate handle AFT & simultaneously slide window AFT
Escape Rope:
Open compartment
Lower escape rope out of window, looking for flag when fully extended
Wrap rope around hand
Exit head & shoulders 1st
Lower self to ground hand over hand
