1
Q

When do things experience time dilation?

A

Moving near the speed of light relative to observer

2
Q

What is time dilation?

A

When time seems to be ticking slower for the moving object/thing

3
Q

Equation for time dilation and symbol meaning. We are not expected to be able to apply it only describe it!

A

y = 1/(square root)1-(v^2/c^2)

4
Q

Why can some muon with a half life of 2.2us can be detected at sea level?

A

The muons are travelling very quickly. So quickly that they take longer to decay due to time dilation. Time is running slower for the muons.
