Course Hero rounded up a bunch of research on the effectiveness of repetitive learning with flashcards, relying heavily on Brainscape Research! Check it out below and be amazed at the genius of flashcards!

As Course Hero puts it so well on their blog, “if you are really committed to doing your best, you may want to put down that Red Bull and pick up a stack of index cards. Yes, Flashcards–one of the oldest study methods around–is actually one of the most effective.” We’ve been researching this and writing about it for a long time now, and are happy to see the research presented in a nice infographic.

Great infographic. I think all the research currently points to the fact that learning styles really don’t matter that much. We all use different senses to process new information. I can recall a study where people where students got divided: some learned in their preferred learning style, and some learned in standard learning. While those who got taught in their preferred learning style reported higher satisfaction, they did not learn any better in any of the exams.
